If you have a whale lover in your life, this mug is a must-have. Super-cute with an anime style design, the round, chubby critter would make a fantastic gift.
The body is very rounded with some sculptural details. Our little friend’s front flippers bump out from the surface of the mug, and the horn is a 3D element. The majority of the exterior is bright pink with the lower portion (representing the whale’s belly) in white. The interior is also white. The matching pink handle is positioned as if it were the tail. And our buddy’s cheerful smile and anime eyes are done in black.
Overall, a very charming effect!
This mug has a slightly larger than average capacity at 14.6 ounces. It’s made of ceramic, but the seller doesn’t provide any use or care instructions. Given the metallic gold on the horn, however, I would recommend not putting it in the microwave. Additionally, I suggest hand washing: reviews mention a tendency for the finish to chip in the dishwasher.
